Ingredients
- Flower Crab- 1kg
- Large Onion x 1 (diced)
- Large tomato x 1 (diced)
- Ginger paste - 2 tablespoon
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Shredded coconut
10 shallots ( made into a paste)
- Ground black pepper paste- 1 tablespoon
- Salt

- Raman Spice Chettinad Masala
Directions
- Marinate crab with ginger and garlic paste
- Add 1 teaspoon of Raman Spice Turmeric Powder
- Marinate and allow the crab to rest for 1 hour
Cooking Method
- Add approx 4 tablespoon/ 1/4 cup of oil to hot pan
- Add whole spices such as cloves, cinnamon and star anise
- Add chopped onions & tomatos
- Add curry leaves
- Add 1 teaspoon of Raman Spice Turmeric Powder
- Add 1 teaspoon of Raman Spice Chili Powder
- Add 21/2 tablespoon Raman Spice Chettinad Masala
- Stir until you achieve a thick paste like consistency
Add shredded coconut & onion paste
- Add 1 cup water
- Add the marinated crab
- Add salt to taste
- Stir until the crab has fully cooked and the gravy starts to thicken
- Garnish with a pinch of fresh coriander leafs and squeeze 1/2 fresh lemon juice
- Serve with hot basmati rice or roti
